A buyers market?

It looks like restrictions may finally be lifted on purchasing US Arms without the need for a licence, and all the hassle that involves. Will this allow the powers that be to break free of the shackles and purchase quality proven equipment, without the need to rely on one source i.e. BAES? ; or will we be limited to our need to support British Industry as per our core directive. Will this put pressure on homegrown defence companies, or will loyalty prevail?

Sqn of F15s/A-10s anyone?
