I'd like at this point to post about the little known and unfunded 'Black Sparrows' display team formed at RAF Machrihanish in about 1983. With 4 highly/partially trained LTech/Mech AFs on a motley collection bicycles. They had Vics, Line abreasts /stern, alternate breaks - the full routine, and displayed at about 5.10pm daily as they traveresed the parade square on the way home. - Winter and high wind days excepted.
Sadly footage no longer exists
