BBMF Standardisation

Hi

Just a thought - I realise that the rest of us get 'trapped' regularly by CFS.

But how is standardisation and checking carried out by CFS on the BBMF - particularly the fighters ?

Or are they not subject to the CFS regime ?

Just wondered

Thanks

Arc

I think the current boss is an ex-F3 trapper so maybe it's a self policed organisation?

RN Historic Flight gets an annual standards check by the RN fixed wing trappers primarily in the Chipmunk (for the Sea Fury and Swordfish pilots; Sea Hawk pilots are Hawk current.)

Trappers are all outside the RNHF organisation to ensure objectivity.

With only around 25 hours per pilot during the season and all pilots having other day jobs, it's crucial that an external look at S&P is carried out each year.
