It's undergoing development. Like any large military project, it will be hugely over priced, late and won't do what the prime contractor says it will do.

Barking is what they are - Fancy starting with new strengthened Boeing NG airframe - why couldn't they start by modding a 50 year old airframe like the everybody else does?

With the great minds of the Americans who know better, it will have the capability of a P3C AIP/III but the airframe will be new .
I have a nasty feeling it will be a step backwards in tech and weapon carrying abilities, but it will be a cheap & nasty MMA/MPA.
