Police/Hems offshore?
There are loads of avenues depending on your experience and get up and go, to research these companies.
Get your MCC and IR if you can, but just get out there and contact the companies.

If the UK market is the same as here in Australia, you will find that the majority of jobs are never advertised and will be filled by word of mouth. Keep in regular contact with mates that have left the service and entered the civvy market for a heads up on potential openings and the all important recommendation.
Hope this helps, best of luck.
BTW, a couple of these sites are predominantly fixed wing, but have the occasional rotary job hidden away in their listings.
