You don't say if you are a graduate or not or commissioning from the ranks as that all changes pay so I assumed you are direct entry. That rate is valid up to 31 Mar 07 but it won't be miles off the rate for next year.

DD if you're a graduate expect 18.5>19.5k. Can't remember exactly what pay grade it equates to but look for a plt off pay grade on the scale around those figures and that'll be the one. Equates to 1200 quid a month after tax/food/accn thereabouts (iirc, was quite a while ago!)

Pop into www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=96 and you will find many more new friends starting IOT7 in March. Well done and good luck.

My pay went up by some 70% after I'd been in for just over a year. Went onto 2nd year Mid's pay, flying trg pay and we all got the 35% odd that Mrs T promised us in the May 70 election.

It all went to the brewers

Years later I was a Corporal sorting out my pay with the RAPC SSgt. He was most hacked off to discover that I was paid more than him
