New Merlins - why has it all gone so quiet?

Though the MoD has stuck pretty rigidly to the line that acquiring the six Merlins from Denmark was no more than an option that was under consideration, it was clear weeks ago that things were moving further and faster than that, with suggestions that a timetable had been drawn up, and that personnel (including a named RAF CO, a Navy XO, four crews from Culdrose, a random AAC pilot and various RAF chaps) were in post at Benson.

So where are these folk now? What are they doing? Has it all gone quiet over unrealistic support cost expectations by WHL? Or what?
