Service Flying Clubs

Dear All,

After a stint at sea I am ready to revalidate my SEP(Land) rating and join a club. Unfortunately the club I used to belong to, Vectair, at Goodwood, has closed.

As a serving member of the armed forces can any of you suggest a service club in the Hants area (near Portsmouth would be nice). I have tried contacting Fleetlands Flying Association (FFA) by e-mail and letter but to no avail. If any of you have a contact in FFA could you please PM me their details.

Many thanks for any help.

I'm sure someone (can't think for a moment who ) will reply with all the details you need to know about BZNFC.

Did my first solo there many moons ago and it was indeed a fine place to fly

Is there a club at Brize?

http://www.brizeflyingclub.com/

'JP is still going strong; unfortunately 'JR is now with another organisation. So there are only the 3 aircraft there now.

Fleetlands Flying Association

Fleetlands Flying Association operates from Lee On Solent, a good point of contact is John Davies on 01329 664316 or via email [email protected]

What happend to Vectair, I assumed that Ian Adams took over from his father Doug when he retired ?

All,

Many thanks for the replies.

Sat here on this dreary day looking out of my window at the dockyard has got me day dreaming of being airborne on a clear crisp sunny winters day. I think the rest of this morning will be spent making some calls!!

Cheers

You could try the Bustard Flying Club at Boscombe Down, although probably getting onto site at Wallop with the AFA may be logistically easier.
