Desktop Models

Does anyone know of a good company from which I could get a good quality desktop model? I am specifically looking for an 8 Sqn Shacklebomber.

Try Collectors Aircraft Models at the Sheraton Skyline, LHR, in my opinion, biggest suppliers of any aircraft models anywhere.

Ring Brian Austria-Tomkins on 020 8754 7281 or email [email protected]

If he hasn't got one, he'll get one made, any size, any colour scheme.

Also take a look at the old threads at the bottom of this page. Might also help.

Good luck
Sleeve.

Top advice there Sleeve.

I had them make my own first tour aircraft (A Tornado GR1 of 16 Sqn), to order, in the exact specified livery and markings. It is spectacular. They hand make them in wood then paint to your spec. I paid about £300 I think, but then you do pay for quality. It's pretty large too, makes a nice coffee table centre piece, (even if the wife disagrees!).

I'd reccomend them fully.

Judging by what he specifies (I.e. a particular Sqn markings) I think a pewter one wouldn't fit the bill. Hand painted is what the man seems to be after.

Try www.bravodeltamodels.com in Surrey- they make bespoke kiln-driod mahogany models and paint them to your exact specs...

...or www.collectorsaircraft.com for the Sheraton ones.

Why waste coffee table space when you can hang'em on the wall and keep the Memsahib happy?
