Row in Whitehall over Iran Policy?
Tony Blair gives a speech where he wants to befriend Iran in order to get their help over Iraq. The main bargaining point from Iranīs point of view will be to back off and stop complaining about their nuclear programme which is still expanding.
Is it, then, a coincidence that, at the same time, that the security services reveal both that Iran is grooming and putting in place Teheran supporters as leading members of Al Qaeda, and that Al Qaeda is planning and determined to launch a nuclear attack on the UK?
If so, would bargaining to get Teheranīs help be either or both futile and an even greater mistake than any we have made so far?

These recent developments are not something they will have announced publicly with out a LOT of talking behind the scenes, both with Iran and Syria, some concessions would have been agreed, with the condition that we, in the short term appear as though we are still holding the strong arm against said "Axes of Evil". Just wait 4 or 5 months down the line and see what those concessions are. Oh, if you dont think that Iran and Syria have occupied the power vaccum that we left post-invasion, you are sadly very mistaken. At least this way we get our boys home, away from a war we lost not due to the bravery of those that fought, but due to the down-right egomania and poor strategic leadership of those currently occupying 10 Downing Street and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Do you honestly believe that Iran are developing nukes to deliver to AQ, or perhaps defend themselves against a nation that, during 1946, used terrorist techniques against US to secure their own freedom?
