"The platoon also had the ability to call in help from air support which, despite recent criticisms of the RAF, was described by the Pathfinders as fantastic."

well done both
Doesn't say it was air support from the RAF, though. If you recall, Major Loden described USAF air support as 'fantastic'.

If we knew the dates of this engagement we could check the ATO for that day online.

Do you think the soldiers should be issued with score cards ala ice skating so they can give instant feedback to the CAS pilots on their performance!
