Chinook display

Was at the secret Shropshire airbase landowners' day today and saw the Chinook display. What an awesome, beautiful, elegant and all-round incredible sequence to witness! If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it. Loads of oohs and aahs from the crowd as well.
Truly wonderful. Thank you.

Whilst I had the pleasure of your wife waving like a mad woman thinking that you were on board!!!

Seriously though, you and yours are essential to the job we do: Thankyou

Concur with the above - saw the display at LEU airshow and loved it. Had visions of loadie(s) clinging onto seat frames/object of choice as the back end was getting kicked around hard.

So then, the Chinook force is one of the busiest (if not the busiest) fleets we have, it is working really very hard and well in theatre, is doing lots of very hazardous things in support of the people that really matter (the soldiers, just in case the crews think I meant them!) AND it has the best display on the circuit! Cool

Can we have some more please, pretty please?

(oh, and some more miniguns?)

The wife was waving?

Kept that wedding quiet!

Look forward to you buying the beers then.

Saw the display at RIAT, absolutely awesome, especially swinging the rear end around like that...

By far the best helicopter display i have ever seen.

O/T but can any recent Chinook flyers down here in Devon please PM me....as in this week and preferably around Mid Devon. Thanks

I was contemplating visiting the Dartmouth Regatta on the last evening to see the Reds, but a chap I talked to in Totnes said the Park and Ride arrangements were swamped. He said that the Chinook display was the best of the week and had the crowd on their feet. Congratulations to whoever. At least someone is not "uterly, utterly useless"!

On behalf of the Chinook Display Team, thanks for the words of support.

Not only do the display team give up their weekends but also the guys at Odiham who open up to see them in and out! Thanks to them.
