Any chance of cranking up the old A10 production line?

As a former "ground pounder" in South Vietnam, I think that were I to be in Afghanistan, I would prefer my CAS from an A10 over just about any other aircraft. They can hang about for a while, tough as a brick outhouse and really suited for the job. The yanks should really think about building some more pretty quickly.I'm sure the UK forces would love them. If some of the politicians that were making the cuts to budgets had some on the ground experience in the theatre they might change their outlook.
