Understanding the Islamic 'Long War' - via JHC Website
I kow this might sound a bit keen, but I've just printed off a very interesting text of presentation which can be found on the JHC website. Its called 'The Long War' by Patrick Sookhdeo. Sorry, I'm not at work so I can't get a link, but you should be able to find it on the MOD web.
It covers:
Introduction
Challenges facing the Muslim world
Violence in paradigmatic Islamic sources, theology and history
Islamic resurgence and reform - contemporary Islam
The multifaceted Jihad
Contemporary Islamic terrorism - strategy and tactics
Western response
I think it'll be very helpful for those wanting to dig a bit deeper into 'whats it all about'. If anyone has any other useful reading, they might want to post on this thread.

How about 'The War on Freedom; How and why America was attacked September 11, 2001'?
Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed
Media Messenger Books
ISBN 0-930852-40-0
If you want to know where you are it helps to know where you've been.

Boston Celtic press.
2 pages.
'How to raise funds for oppressed peoples around the world: Giz money fer da cause!'
Noraid Counting House.
2000 pages.
