Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

I have never seen an F3 so incredibly clean and shiney
Is it 'display only', or have the lads on the wash pan done a really good job?

O2 Thief.

You get upset when numpties mistakenly call you a GIB.

Royal Navy Observers get very upset when numpties mistake them for navigators, an altogether lower form of life.

Nice one, very clever. Keep them coming chaps; I'm going out for Saturday lunch with my wife now(she calls me something much worse than GIB). IIRC RN Observers were, colloquially, known as "lookers" when the FAA had some decent aircraft and carriers back in the good old days (809 & 892).

Pound for pound I'd rather have the fuel....... right up to the point on a dark and ****ty night, when the nav kit spits the dummy out in the middle of the ogsplash and mum is 160 miles away in a random direction Come back obs, all is forgiven!!!
