Thanks for the wave

If anyone reading this is from Lyneham and knows who was operating a low level trip around the Oxon, Bucks, Northants borders at about 1800 local on Tuesday (19th June) please pass my thanks (!) to the guys in the back who waved at the girls shoving the glider back into its trailer.

We had two giggling women in the car on all the way back to Bicester claiming that being waved at from a Herc is so cool. I took the line that it was fellow aviators acknowledging the presence of another.

Thanks guys (and gals)

I was once mooned from by half a dozen Yanks on the ramp of a USAF Herc at LL. At the time I was formating about 20 yards behind in my FJ.

Zoom, if you had guns I should have given them a squirt - after all, nobody would have been able to find the bullet holes . . .

Or worse yet, they gave the FJ a squirt. Imagine what cool designs the wiper could make with brown organic material. Crew chief would be hating life if it dried on the windscreen.

... one understands that a similar principle was (allegedly) employed in the murder of Edward II in 1327 ......
