Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

Name the JSF

Let the games begin...

"Fury" is not too bad, since four out of five of the UK-US operators already flew a Fury - granted, they were three completely different aircraft...

I'd say Crusader is definitely out

But then, what about a famous fighter...

... its name known to millions of people, its best-known pilot a cultural icon...

that was used by the predecessors of the RAF, the FAA and the USAF...

I think Robin, because it's clear by the cost of the thing that the mfr has been doing very well out if it.

With its looks and usefulness, Seamew, Firecrest, or Baffin.

Or Buffalo for the Yanks and Cow for us.

Or Benny.

Jackonicko - Seacow for the RN? (Cashcow for BAe etc...)

Before BEagle suggests it - Vulcan?
Before WEBF suggests it - Buccaneer?

Am warming to the F-35 Dave.
