The MOD used (as of 2 years ago) to use M&S shipping in Romford for shipments into/out of the UK. As you say, it was generally Pickfords that moved the shipments to/from the M&S facility in Romford. Things may have changed since I used them, but it's a starting point for enquiries.

I think it is still M&S Shipping for overseas postings:

http://www.msshipping.com/

Also, try the RAFCOM site:

http://www.rafcom.co.uk/posting_relo...relocation.cfm

For a posting to Cyprus it could be worth a chat with the movers at Brize or Lyneham - get a few boxes sent last minute; the movers at AKT can be helpful, seriously, they helped me.

PM for usefuel contacts

It is definatly M&S Shipping. You should be able to speak to your PSF staff for info on max/min weights.
If you pop into your friendly R&D they can also assist on getting a few extra boxes sent out last minute.
Have a think about storage of some items as you can hire or buy them out there cheap enough (Don't use JAMIE Rentals, rip off).
