Question Sea Hawk Crash SSX 1950s

Someone I know who runs the Findon Village website is trying to establish date and details of a crash of an RN Hawker Sea Hawk in the 1950s.

Apparently two Sea Hawks were flying to the Ford aerodrome in West SSX in bad weather and descending (with incorrect altimeter settings) one crashed into the edge of Cissbury Ring - the other 'clipped the Ring' and made it back to Ford.

Any other information would be most welcome.

This is for Valerie Martin who maintains a Findon Village website and she collects and publishes a great deal of current and also historical information about the area.

The site is at: http://www.findonvillage.com

Cheers

Grumpy
