RAF Forres

Does anyone have, or know where I can get, old photos of RAF Forres (Balnageith). I have a relative that has bought a house on the old airfield and we'd like to give them an old print of the place before the house was built.

Cheers

I've looked at my book A steep turn to the stars (history of M Firth Airfields) by Jim Hughes (Elgin) which has a page of blah but no pics. You need to talk to Jim or Paul Warrener, dunno how to find the former, latter in the Sim still?

Paul Warrener

You'll find that Paul has moved on, but not very far. PM me for his email address.

I tried to find photos of RAF Forres as I used to live a Balnaferry Cottages which actually predate RAF Forres but were part of the base. Unfortunately, not even Forres museum had any photos.

If you get lucky, I would love a digital copy.

Good Luck
