Television in FI - what format?

I gather BFBS broadcast TV in the Falklands, but is it the same format as in the UK? I am planning on taking my USB TV adapter with me for the laptop, hence the question!

Regards,
FCWB

15.45 ROOM 785
Starting with: JESS THE BORDER COLLIE
Children's drama series about 11-year-old Jenny Miles and her dog Jess who live on a sheep farm in the Scottish countryside.

ROFLMAO - Rather appropriate - Just in case they forget what sheep farming is like!

Reminds me of the Stanley days - no TV station but lots of videos. Needed tele to watch vid - guess what NAAFI stocked? Only teletext equipped TVs that were twice the price of a basic set - nothing but the best for our boys in FI.

BennyTV

Don't they show lots of wildlife progs, 'Life in the Freezer' sort of thing?

Particularly useful for those who don't get offbase much.

So, you are going thousands of miles to the Falkland Islands, the great outdoors brimming with wildlife and all you are worried about is watching the tele?
Yes, you will get the World Cup, about 24 hours after the games are played so you will already know the score!
Have a great time and keep that special sock nice and clean.
