Sad Loss - Flt Lt N Rees

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/l...re/4598272.stm

A very sad loss indeed, not only Nifty Nev, but Karen and Andrew also.

Who will bring out the box of tricks at dining-in nights now?

My thoughts and condolences to the family.

Re: Sad Loss - Flt Lt N Rees

I, along with many at Lyneham, am stunned by this tradgedy. One of the nicest guys I have worked with, and one of the best senses of humour. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. My thoughts are with the lad left alone.

Didn't know Nev nearly so long as others speaking here, but I struggle to name a man who spoke so proudly and dearly of his family to all who would listen. Rest in Peace

Funny, witty, incredibly capable whilst all the time still being a committed husband and Dad.

God Bless Nev. My prayers are with you and especially the one left behind.

Re: Sad Loss - Flt Lt N Rees

Never have I met a man so kind, so full of happiness and a need to pass that happiness on. No matter how pants the day was, one chat with him made it all bearable again. Good bye Nev, you'll be missed.

Couldn't have asked for a funnier instructor and a genuine kind hearted man. 162's thoughts are with his son, family, and friends at 45(R).

Poor lad, I'd hate to be the one who had to break that to him.

RIP, mate.

Re: Sad Loss - Flt Lt N Rees

My most sincere condolences to the families of Nev and Karen and, most especially, the remaining son.

While I had never met Karen or the rest of the family, I did know Nev from Lyneham and Cranwell and I can only echo the heartfelt sympathies already expressed.

Nev, the world is a worse place now you are gone - sleep well.
