Recruitment and Retention Survey

I have just received a Recruitment and Retention in the UK Armed Forces Survey - Issued by the National Audit Office.

Perhaps some money could have been saved by the authors of the survey perusing the threads here?

However, I have filled it in honestly but am amused by questions such as "In which part of the UK do you live?" even though they have correctly addressed it to my overseas work address (Italy by the way and yes it is sunny here!) ......... shows how much the survey was tailored for the UK Armed Forces needs then!.....

Message to NAO - If you improve quality of life people will stay. Or maybe they don't want people to stay......

So the rambling has stopped my point is:

What would be the final straw that would make you leave?

My starter for ten is: The introduction of a baseball cap as an official item of headgear embroidered with a logo in the stylee of that bl@@dy rucksack!

A merry and safe Christmas to all of you, especially those on operations

Ah the civilian world has thought of this - I have a company issued baseball hat with the company logo on the front and my name embroidered on the back so the pax know who the pilot is if they have a complaint

There again my bonedome has my name on a sticker so perhaps the RAF has thought of it already (though nobody sits behind me )

If, as has been mooted, they rename Stn Cdrs as Chief Executives and OC Admin as Business Development Manager.

Personally, I am happy in the 'Customer Anihalation Department'

I think the Australians and Kiwis have already introduced baseball caps, mind you they actually have a serious need for them with the high rate of skin cancers. Do you think they are allowed to wear them backwards when walking around station with the sun behind them?
Personally I would refuse to collect mine from stores, as I have done with that rubbish rucksack!
As its a bit colder in the UK perhaps we should consider issue hoodies to keep our necks warm on these cold winter days?

I just received an apology from them as it was pointed out that they addressed the bloody things to a lot of retirees with thier old Rank as a title.... Not a good move if you wanted to keep a low profile.
