Looking for video of Pavehawk crash 31 May 2002

I've seen it a few times, I would like to include it in a Mountain flying brief.
Any help is welcome.

Thank you

AHQHI656SQN,

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/2017726.stm

This is the best I could do, its taken from the Beeb so has commentary over the video. The video can be seen by clicking on either of the two 'Davis Willis' buttons on the left of the page under the Watch/listen section.

Hope this helps.

Right click on the 'Davis Willis' button.
Select Save target as .... to save the video file to your hard disk.
Play.

Tried it, no go.

If you can get it to load to your HD, could you mail it to me.

Cheers

SirToppamHat.

If I knew what you meant, I would give you an answer!

I can play the clip, It just won't save the file, all I get saved is the link.

It's quite tricky to get at Real Media videos, however there is a way! It's a bit fiddly, but here goes...

Download and install this program

Install and run the program. Then, when you have it open, click on the Add button in the upper left corner. A new window will open, in the top box marked URL, copy the following and paste it into that box (Right click on it>Copy Shortcut, then hover mouse over the URL box in HiDownload and right click>paste);

http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/video/38..._willis_vi.ram

Then under the 'Save to' bit, click the little icon to the right and choose where you want to save it.

Click 'Ok'

Fingers crossed you now have it!

I'd do it for you but I'm behind a University firewall. If you get stuck I recommend you draft in a computer-savvy mate to lend a hand!

AHQHI656SQN;

A site of heli vids;
http://www.augustoheli.com/videostuf...le/default.asp
click on link to open new window

The one you are after;
http://www.augustoheli.com/videostuf...le/mn_hood.avi
right click, select 'Save Target As...', choose where you want to save it.

p.s. The previous links are 'streaming video', so you would have to be connected to the www in order to play the file.

And it's a wonderful illustration of, "Better to be down here wishing you were up there..." Amongst other things.
