Will Young goes Maverick.

I dont know wether to laugh or cry or deny any knowledge of ever watching the movie this music video is based off.

But I'm glad the remote was out of reach when this came on this morning cause there is a rather nice Buccaneer kicking around in there somewhere. I wasn't aware any were still flying!

As for the video, errr.. just remember to bleach your eyes afterwards.

I believe that Buccaneer is owned by Hawker Hunter Aviation, click here

Actually scratch my last, isn\'t it one of those Buccaneers that enjoys the sunnier climes of South Africa now days?

Quite correct on the last one.

This was filmed in SA using the Buccaneers and Hunters of Mike Beachyhead's Thunder City operation.

Obviously the budget didn't stretch to allow use of the Lightnings......

Personally I'd prefer to have a go in a Bucc than a Lightning anyhow.

Slightly concerned about the porn star look alike that young Master Young appears to have befriended!

Lovely to see footage of the Hunter at low level. Absolutely beautiful machine.

Cool

Not just a great video - an absolutely cracking first cut from Wills "difficult third album" proving he is likely to be a huge star for a long long time and demonstrating why he is the sole credible survivor from the reality TV pop star franchises.

This music video is a homoerotic romp through the world of flyboys, ŕ la Top Gun.
In the pursuit of EO should we not see some lady pilots playing netball in a similar state of undress?

And what's the Bucc doing above 60ft?

Ah, what the hell. It's not as if the original film wasn't gayer than a camping trip with Julian Clary.

Thought it was an amusing piss-take on Top Gun... 'Cowboy', 'Indian'....suprised there wasn't a 'Biker' and 'Construction Worker' as well.

Apart from the awful bŁoody music which accompanied the clip. And too many sweaty kids playing ball games.

Who is Will Young, by the way?

True - the music is dire - reminds me of that Toshiba advert a few years ago 're-record dont fade away' (based on a rolling stones track?).

Will Young is that gay bloke with a massive chin who won pop idol or some rubbish like that a few years ago. Makes a fortune from kids spending pocket money on his singles.

Devil

Wow, Beags and Vigilant are now music critics - can we expect an article in Q anytime soon?

What is 'Q'? One of those 'lifestyle' comics which digi-yoof likes to read?

Once upon a time the only magazines in crew rooms were Mayfair, Air Clues, the odd Flight and the odd Autocar......

Beags, since there's only one Will Young, I can't give the standard reply to your question of "A popular beat combo!"

I'm afraid I haven't a clue what "Q" is!

These things all appear to be popular among the Alcopop Generation. No wonder they have to be off their tatties on 'Breezers' half the time.

Will is from Hungerford, that's a bit too close to me for comfort

Hope he didn't really get to fly in one of Mr Beachyhead's machines, that really would make me sick
