It only hurts when I laugh
In my spare time, between writing my next book and surfing for porn, I have been searching for aviation related humour to plagiarise. Recently, I came across this:

Does anyone else have any interweb sights to bring a tear of joy to our eyes?

I know I've recommended it before, but many moons have passed through Autumn sky since I've seen anything funnier (on the interweb at any rate) than Pardon My Erection by Capt RTFQ on arrse. Shame there's not an edited version available without the interjections from lesser mortals.
It's terribly un-PC but hey, that just adds to the attraction.

An Teallach,
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I've been in stitches reading RTFQ's autobiographical stories - at least as good as the great "I wish..." series.
Outstanding stuff!!

May I also recommend RTFQ's contributions here:
Squaddies trying to behave like proper people
and this thread:
Useful civilian applications for lessons learnt in the army .
To be honest, most of the threads here:
Now That's What I Call NAAFI Bar
and here:
NOW That's What I Call ARRSE 1
result in a keyboard/monitor covered in beer/tea/sandwich etc at some time or another.

Some memorable gems here too:
Squaddie Songs
Don't be put off by the title, there are dark and light blue ditties as well as perennial bar-room favourites even for civvies!

Thanks An t, even a copy of 'The Ballad of Eskimo Nell' - my dear old Dad used to recite that to me as he boxed me round the ears and sent me to bed early, sometime in my mid to late twenties.
JimGriff - I check the RAFNASAURUS every now and then to see if it's grown, look forward to an update.

An Teallach;
One song I couldn't find on your link was;
Arse ole, arse ole, a soldier I shall be,
Fork U, fork U, for curiosity,
Too pist, too pist, two pistols on my knee,
I'll fight for the old cont, fight for the old cont, fight for the old country.
I wondered if there were any more verses, anyone?

Might I suggest that further contributions to squaddiesongs.com be sent direct to [email protected], lest the Mods feel obliged to relegate the Pprune MA humour collection to being the JB humour collection.
It would be nice for posterity to see the light blue better represented on the site. Might go some way to redressing our somewhat torn-faced reputation among the dark blue and brown jobs.
