No, that's an old one.

The SU-27 that crashed in Lithuania on 15 September apparently had some navigation problems. The pilot catapulted and is now questioned in Vilnius.

Funny that. I was just reading that the Lithuanian government has a shoot to kill policy for aircraft unlawfully flying in their airspace. Are you implying?

Strange no any article or message in western media bbc, cnn etc.
Only Lithuanian and Russian nespapers full of smalest details.
Seems to be planned russian provocation againt Lithuania.

Somehow I don't think this was a provocation by the Russians. If it was to be intended, then the plane would have tried to skirt Lituanian air space to see what reaction it would get from the NATO planes based in Lithuania -- I believe they are German F4s this month.

This guy just left the pack and plopped down near Kaunas, Lithuania. I don't think the Russians would want to lose a $20 million plane in a crash just to provocate or test NATO reaction.

I can picture the chaos in the Siauliai TWR and Vilnius ACC........

"What? A-scramble? Ehhh-----ehhhh-----"

*Enter panic mode*

....if the A-scramble I witnessed is anything to go by...
