fish Bohemian Frigate

I see the sun has 'obtained' a copy of Campbletown's Bohemian Rhapsody video and is selling it here in aid of the Armed Forces Memorial Appeal (50p a go).

Worth a go even if it just for the Padre's stint.

I note our super soaraway Sun ends the article:

"GIVE US A WING: NOW we’ve seen what the Army and Navy can do, let’s hear it from the RAF. We’re sure Britain’s airmen must be brimming with talent. Show what you can offer, folks!"

Oh dear.....what could possibly go wrong...?

Shame there's no footage of a packed NAAFI in Deci which consisted of approx 200 blokes performing a vintage version of 'Alouette'.

Excellent stuff! Not sure if the headbanging aircrew or the aerial air guitar shot was the best...

Are you sure the aircrew were head banging, looked like a bit of mutual 'Being Naval' to me.

Angel

Bring back the 205 Squadron Male Voice Choir and Cultural Ensemble.

Ah those far-off promenade concerts when the beautiful baritone of the resident soloist rendering "Old Penang" might lead in to the choir's tear jerking, politically incorrect arrangement of "Abide With Me" and a grande finale of "From the Jungles of Majunga" with the audience joining in

All Squadrons could field a decent choir when the RAF flew proper aeroplanes. With all this scientific modern warfare, young chaps are forced to waste good carousing time studying modern technology when they should be learning the words to "Eskimo Nell" or choreographing a tidy rendition of "Swing Low" and other important military traditions.

I fear your are right Blacksheep.

I wonder if any of the young chaps have even heard, of let alone know, Cathusalem or Rhodean School.

Noticed in SROs today that they're after suggestions for an equivalent RAF vid...looks like The Sun has thrown down the gauntlet for the RAF to 'rise above the rest'....
