Question Military to civil question

A small plea for information and your opinions...

Does anyone know the number of pilots who convert from military flying to civil airlines in any one year?

In what way has this number changed over the last few years and what do you see as the future trend considering movements and management within the military?

Many thanks in advance for your response.

It depends on a lot of factors.
-Are the airlines hiring?
-Which AirForce?
-Is the particular AirForce currently deployed a lot?, i.e. Does the family situation suffer from being away from home 6-8 months out of the year?
-Are the airlines offering greener grass on the other side of the fence? (Not only more money).

Me. I'm scared of the closed cockpit syndrome and being stuck in the same busdriver job for the next 25 years.
However, I'm also afraid flying a desk in the AirForce staff, even if it was for only three years.
It's whatever you seek in life.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
Piet.
