Question Circles in the sky?

In a rare departure from the Rotoheads I was wondering if any of you higher altitude boys & girls could shed any light on (what looks like) a big twin that has been circling over north eastern Scotland since early this morning? Is someone trying to loose some weight up there or could this be something to do with the G8?

Just curious - very pretty contrails mind!

Good thinking - looked like a twin but could have been an L-1011. Thanks.

might have been an air-air refueler as there have been a few fast jets keeping an eye from above

It's hardly SECRET!

You worried that some tree-hugger is going to try and shoot it down with a giant reefer?

Chillout

Yes, Al-Qaeda uses PPRuNe as a reliable source of information, heck, we could shut down their entire terrorist network just by closing this website...

Let them read it!!

It would be quite interesting to see Al-Qaeda have a shot at our RAF.

Well yes, looking at the footage of coppers arriving in Scotland by Chinny recently; they appear to be doing what other forces can't.
