FOAS Cancelled?

The Janes feed on DII is reporting that the RAF have cancelled FOAS and are going to use existing capability such as GR4 and Storm Shadow to fill the gap. Any ideas whether this makes T3 more likely now in a FOAS role?

T3?????

I was always under the impression that FOAS was more of a package concept than one single aircraft. Was the idea not to simply look at a force mix of assets like GR4, Storm Shadow, UAVs and maybe Typhoon, rather than some other type built specifically for the task?

Sounds like they've just decided to let the Tonka plod on, make sure Storm Shadow works as advertised and keep building the UAV side of things as we are in a far away desert.

Check the thread on the mighty MRA4 Nimbomber.
