Good start to a rational discussion.

Why would I argue with Dassault pilots, I can pick up the phone and speak to french air force test pilots directly. And as friends, if I asked them about the Rafale performance they would give me as much detailed information as you are getting here. Approximately nothing, thats the way the system works.

I prefer test data to videos, the camera does lie.

Just when will the Typhoon and Rafale meet in exercises?, IIRC the Typhoon should be doing something around October, but the details escape me for the moment!.

Open sources - Well I would think the best indicator of which aircraft performs when they do meet is the smile on the pilots face as he walks from the aircraft to the debrief..

Should be quite interesting Captor/DASS/Pirate vs RBE2/Spectra/OSF, much will depend on who exploits their systems strengths.
