Danish Defence Minister with sidearm

I wonder what reception BAFOON would have if he turned up wearing a sidearm like the Danish Defence Minister did in the Middle East.........

Apparently he's a former Major...
good on him.....

Hopefully he might have been mistaken for an insurgent and shot!

And if it doesn't make him a deviant, he's a cross-drawer also!

Is that the correct expression? Maybe the Army can enlighten us!

Buff would have had a gun on each hip, so he could shoot himself in both feet if he tried to use them.

He's not picking it, apparently he keeps an extra round up each nostril so as not to spoil the cut of his strides..he's just checking his load.

It looks more like he's yawning. Perhaps he'd just attended one of Buff's briefings??

If the photo was of the French MofD, and wearing that "cross draw" holster....I would swear he was just staying ready to arm the bad guys!

Someone explain to me how that cross draw thing works in a hurry....and don't most of us want to quickly place weapon in hand when the shooting starts? A cross draw rig worn in front of the hip makes some sense particularly if you are sitting down (as in a vehicle) when the gunplay begins but worn behind the hip?

Cross dressing pistols

The DK MOD might have something on his other hip, of course - and it is well placed for a vehicle. However in the Balkans it was SOP to place one's pistol in the Landrover scuttle/airvent tray when sitting in the front - no need to fumble when drawing it...

He even stands in a muddy puddle, with his trousers tucked into his boots.... Buffoon would'nt know how to do that...
"Sir, can you put a plank of wood over that puddle for me?"
"Umm, no Sir, we had to sell the wood cause of defence cuts"

When would you see Hoon pose for the camera like this?

Methinks he is slightly farther afield than the Middle East.

(Big hills & ISAF decals a bit of a giveaway.)
