Pilots required for Tsunami relief

Whilst we appreciate that this Forum should not be used for such purposes maybe the unique situation will allow a one off.

We have an urgent requirement for Puma 330 J pilots to fly on UN Humanitarian Relief Ops in the BANDA ACEH region of Sumatera. ATPLH or CPLH with current Puma 330J rating.

We also need a number of Operations managers to set up and coordinate the Op.

Obviously immediate availability is essential!

Contact us on [email protected] for full details.

As far as I know, there are possibly no Puma 330J pilots in UK with a current rating as there are no examples on the CAA register and haven't been since the late 1980s.

I tried to open my UK licence on this type as I was current on the comparable RAF HC1. I was about to take the written exams when I was informed by the CAA. I had to abandon the idea and open it on the Gazelle instead.

Any further info?

Many Thanks to all

We would just like to say thank you to all that have replied to the above request. Many kind offers of help have been recieved and are being sifted through as we speak. Most Puma J guys are responding from OZ SA and Far East. We will be in touch with all that have emailed as soon as all details finalised. As you may imagine its rather busy on the email front at the moment!
