Thank goodness this is a US initiative, although I wouldn't be at all surprised to see something similar crop up here..........

Anyone want to 'adopt an armed service'?

In need of equipment such as boots and rifles... aswell as new leaders and management.

If this initiative gets better kit to guys who are putting their lives on the line then why not?

It's not so different to what we did 60 years ago when towns used to collect to "buy a Spitfire". After all, XV Sqn got their "McRobert's Reply" from a private donation.

don't let common sense approach to a problem get in the way of a good preconcieved notion hey daysleeper?this is not how we do things in EU so lets piss on it.Given some thought that perhaps creative thinking is why the yanks have so much superior kit?
