Canadian Sub Incident - Crews fault

Sky News reporting that it was indeed the crews fault that caused the Canadian Sub fire by leaving open the hatches which let water from the large waves get inside and cause an explosion.

...according to a small article in today's Times, the Canadians have cleared the RN/BWoS from any blame. Apparently, some of the sub's crew have reported hatches in the conning tower being left open, thereby causing seawater to get into the Capt's cabin and causing a short-circuit and subsequent fire.

....as posted on 27 October....where have you/they been?

It matters little what truths emerge about this incident from the sales viewpoint. The PR damage has been well and truly done and the Canadians will probably never buy another British weapons system, new or used.

It's not the military's fault that they have no money, it's the wonderful liberal government.
