I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could

Works for me - if you chonk out everything in front of the www.

There is a well known bomb making factory in berkshire, beginning with 'A', that appears as empty ground in multimap - but click on the aerial phots, and all is revealed.....

Pom Pax

A bit more precision required here. When you say the 'tip' of the Cerne Abbas man, exactly what tip are you referring to????

Bit late in the thread, I know, but just to prove that it's not an urban myth...

Two in a row tonight: Flt Lt Spry - take a trip to Hack Green if you get the chance, informative, evocative and just a little too realistic in places... The signs around Nantwich saying \'Secret Bunker\' elicit the delight of many visitors, I\'m told.

BEagle Where else? Needed to be an easily indentifialbe landmark.

Zoom Was trying to keep within "hotel lobby" ruling.

Pontius Navigator 5 Course, July '57 - June '58. I assume by your time Meteors
had replaced the mostly clapped out Vampires.

There is a Ppruner (mainly to be found on the tuition pages who uses his real name)
who used to drive us round that route in a NF10.
(Hint there is a second similar user name with the same profile, a son?)

That oft overflown shed with the traditional welsh greeting is on the Machynlleth Loop is it not?

Here I think. Can't resolve the shed sadly.

Tiger Mate,

Tellytubby land was up near Stratford-on Avon, about 5 miles from Wellesbourne Mountford a/f, but is gone now, all that's left is a suspiciously round pond.
Maybe they got fed up of the noise and moved it somewhere else!

Big Hug!!!

P Off Biggles is a bit further north than the Mc Loop as I remember it. More towards poison lake way I think.

Sowhere around herehttp://www.multimap.com/map/browse.c...ng=&db=freegaz

I haven't been there for well over 10 years but as I recall it's just SW of Pork Chop - 2 mins on Multimap brought this up which looks familiar;

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.c...x=187&down.y=2

Is it still there?

Something fast flew over my house last night just after 11pm. It sounded like it was heading west to east and going very fast indeed. Shortly after it had gone past, I could hear the rumble of the engine in the distance then after a few seconds I heard a sort of 'whoosh' that sounded like the plane was going up, I don't know, but it reminded me of some time ago I watched a Hunter at a display and as he went up in a loop, the same engine type sound occured. Not having a clue about fast jets, I was just wondering how this noise is made or what the plane was doing to make it sound like that. Maybe he was just accelerating away, as I say I don't know, but wouldn't mind knowing what makes this noise sometimes.
Cheers
