Paradigm shift, I'm afraid when it got too hot for the Puffer Jet to operate in Incirlik the name was changed.....to an anagram:

Isn't there a place near Faslane called Rhu, which has - you guessed it - "The Rhu Inn". I believe it has been for many sailors!

Ahhhhh. The Talibar. Thumrait. Some good nights, some terrible nights, some great ones too.
I like the FBI near Boulmer. The sign looks far more exciting as FBI than the Fishing Boat Inn.

Mr C H :

Yes, Talibar indeed - do you remember its previous incarnation the Foobar? (built by those fine Royal Engineer chappies).

I will never forget the '2 can rule' and the 30 min bar extensions ("I am the One and Only"!! :-) )

Tigs,
I still maintain my funniest memory is of a certain crewman, ex scuffer now commisioned............no clues there then regailing the tale of how he was caught by Joyce the cleaner as he stood in between the wardrobe doors "sexually solo" Oh how we giggled

Those were by far the best days of my flying life so far......

all spelling mistakes are "df" alcohol induced

Always Broken

I think Joyce just carried on mopping the Pina Colada off the floor shaking her head and saying in her big deep mamma voice "oh you boys!"

There's was also the Muff Inn down in Qatar last year.

I wonder if that had anything to do with the excess of blonde USAF ladies there at the time ....?
