Hawks and Spit

Two Hawks escorting a Spitfire flew over west of Derby this aft at 15:00 (ish). Nice sight, weird sound combination though.

Anybody here know what the event was? Where from? Where to? They seemed quite low heading NE to SW.

Wish they'd do it more often around here.

Yes they were doing a photoshoot en route to Abingdon for my event today (2 May)..

& both Hawk & Spit flew solo displays... the second hawk also came to Abingdon & landed (both Hawks)....

Whew,

I thought this was a reference to the rather disconcerting way the locals here clear their sinuses, ie from the sandals upwards
