It was a NIMROD, they were TORNADOS (no 'e').

Not only that but a Nimrod has become a commercial airliner!
But I thought a commercial airliner became a Nimrod...

The Nimrod was flown by a 206 Sqn crew, the fly-past was in honor of the unveiling of a window at the abbey provided by project Constant Endeavor commemorating the crews of Coastal command.

JW411,

I do not understand your question?

I do not know how anyone could NOT support Kilmarnock Football Club.

Cheers

What is 'football'? Something to do with aviation, is it?

Beags,

Please allow me to apologise that two posts out of thousands have interrupted your navel gazing for the nanoseconds it must have taken to read them and move on. I mean how dare anyone have any thoughts or interests other than aviation.

Or to put it another way, and I say this with all due respect, please dry your eyes man.

Cheers

Of course it is! It appeared to be an essential part of our strategic defence policy long before you (Beags ever joined the mob) to be practiced every Wednesday afternoon by entire service.
From the early days of the cold war I believed this was the ideal time for Uncle Ivan to strike. However as time progressed and nothing happened I concluded that there must be some secret treaty whereby they were also busy on Wednesday afternoons at similar activities. This was confirmed when one of their junior league teams visited Wembley under the command of so a Major P. and got 6 direct hits without suffering any damage

Hand me my catch net

I know that airlines frequently have to transport 'football supporters' - it must be a very big thing indeed to require so many people to support it, especially as they're usually so nervous about the thing they're going to support that they have to get totally witless in the departure lounge bar before staggering on board their lo-cost airliner.

Somebody told me that it was something like rugby, except that the thing which they chase is the wrong shape. And that there's an Oz version which is a total mystery to all but the Oz mates.

ZA461/AC and ZA585/AH (spcl mks) Tornadoes
