Nice one Spugford, you are obviously on a course then!
I wouldn't say it was "hollering..."at all. We are all fully aware that there is going to be holding involved. Just a bit frustrating when you are told you are going to have a 2 month hold post-linton, only to be told it has been knocked back a further 3 months; then the week before you are due to start you are told that your courses have been cancelled and you are holding until further notice.
All that we want from our employers is a little re-assurance instead of the 'limbo' that is being experienced by some at the moment.

Hope the course is going well

Just waiting for my course at Linton to start, have heard rumours that guys finishing there have been offered to go rotary quickly rather than waiting for Valley, any one got gen on this?

Nice to see Beermonkeys truthful yet 'sober' viewpoint.

Once you do get to the frontline its great fun though! Heads up, Valley isnt that bad - Oh hang on, it is

I don't think anyone's been offerred the chance just to pop off to another stream. It was mentioned that anyone not shining might get "asked to volunteer" to go to another stream. The impression though is that as long as you're passing, you'll still get to go to Valley.

I hear on the grapevine that things will be slightly different for future courses at BFJT though; more along the lines of chopping early if people aren't getting better than average, and people who fail to pass Prog Cx not getting offerred restreaming.

FFP-I am familiar with the Moose; familar also with his carpet....Refreshed a lot of things at Valley actually, one of them was flying. As mentioned, did find nav a little challenging. Also, being able to fly a level turn without the HUD. Sounds silly, but makes a big difference when you're being tapped during the SAPS. Apart from that it's not that hard. Plus you'll be able to dazzle your IRE with the mysteries of a back course ILS!

Fox_4-you almost sound incredulous at the prospect of a sober viewpoint!

Beermonkey,

I thought it was just me - if I have an AC without a HUD I am tempted to declare an IFE then and there, all those dials and knobs (sts) and indicators - just give me a fekkin HUD!
