OIC Bar!!

Strange request for such a forum but I reckon there are others reading who have been 'dicked' to run 'non-public' funds in the past!

Has anyone out there got a spreadsheet program that they could let me have a copy of that is:

1. Understandable by semi-luddites.
2. Excel
3. Bug free.
4. Understandable by semi-luddites.

We've got a great program that's based on Excel but 'freezes' on occasion and comes out with some spurious results that can't be traced by those present. The author was the previous Adj and has since 'bu66ered' off (not with any funds I hasten to add).

If you press the 'HELP' button it says - 'SEE ADJ' !!!!!

A long shot but thanks in advance.

Our bar uses the age old system of hand written ledger. Why? Something to do with external audits. Easier to spot errors etc and the army being stuck (IT wise) in the 1970's!!

I wrote & developed on a few yrs ago - sorry - not still got it, but.....

All we did was look at the manual system we could employ. Then put the damn thing on Excel - nothing clever - nothing hidden - just had the most simple formulas on there - adding, subtracting & a bit of division. It was very simple, only took a couple of hrs to draw up & was 100% accurate. Did all the GPP, balanced against actual cash & gave us our 5-age accuracy for EOM.

If you do it yourself, it will be simple - best way I learned. Then give it to a good NCO who is literate to check.
