AXA one is very commendable old chap. I have had three bikes stolen in as many years and they have equipped me with a new one within a week! Good rates too and they have provision for cover of items signed out on temp. loan (1033 or RAF equiv.)

Military Insurance
I deal through a broker - Wilsons - who are military insurance specialists. Wilsons is a trading name of Towergate Wilsons Ltd at 3 Smith Way, Grove Park, Enderby, Leicester LE19 1SX Tel +44(0)116 2407778.
The policy I have through them is a Hogg Robinson Right Dress Policy with Norwich Union. It is tailored for the military person and includes world wide personal effects cover, uniform, items on loan, married quarter damage, legal liability etc. I have had no problems with any claims. Its worth a look!

Contact Forces Direct Insurance on 0800 074 9402. I've recently changed a few policies over to them and they massively undercut everyone else on the market and you get to speak to human beings, not just listen to blo0dy recorded voice telling you that all of their advisers are busy but they value your call!

I for one agree with the Ferret. Hogg Robison/Norwich Union are v.good. Low premiums, quick settlement and only £20.00 excess to boot.
Check them out, old chap.

I too echo The Ferret's sentiments, the Right Dress policy is simple and seems to be comprehensive. I've never heard of anyone having problems with claims either.
Good Luck.
