Calling all ex VICTOR K2 Aircrew

If you were aircrew on Victor K2 aircraft and would like to assist in a small project - read on......

I am currently collecting information for a future publication on the Victor K2 Tankers and the role they played in AAR. I am seeking information in the form of photographs and interesting stories. Of special interest is any photographs taken during operational time, both external views and internal views (taken in cockpit whilst in flight showing crew at work). Accounts of operational sorties or generally how the K2 was flown and operated would be especially valued. Operational manuals would be a god-send.

If you would like to help and can provide information, please PM me with information. Any photographs in JPEG format would be best. Any material provided would be fully credited to you (just tell me the wording you want applied for your credit).

This is a labor of love project for me rather than a profit making venture (all self funding) - any thing you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Your quest should take you to Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground near Lutterworth in Leicestershire, England.
Turn up there on any Sunday and Find the gate keeper. Cross his palm with Silver (give him four quid) and then go to Pan 3, where Yea and Verily ye will find a Victor K2.

Hope this helps.

Sorry - I'm absolutely no use to you at all.

But I'd love a copy when it's published!

....... of course, information from ground crew also welcome as well.

Generally,
> any information available to describe a typical flight?
> any copies of completed AAR forms or flight data logs etc?
> Falklands War info re Victor a/c?

Anything greatly received....
