Don't wet yourselves but Pooh Blair said it during PM's question time this afternoon. I nearly spewed up my Tanquery and Tonic!

I'm no Blair apologist, but I dislike tabloid-like selective quotes. Blair actually said:
"In respect of the Defence Secretary, we should recognise that over these past few months, under his leadership in the Ministry of Defence, we have won a magnificent victory in Iraq; our troops are now engaged heroically in rebuilding that country..."

Only a politician could make being bogged down in a hostile environment with a bunch of rag 'eads picking the boys off sound like a reconstruction exercise.
