Online assessment
Hi guys I received the email with the online assesment to complete within 7 days.
Anyone know what they ask and what are the multiple activities? Also I noticed that my application status switched to "under review" to "transferred to a new opportunity" is that normal? Doesn't look promising... Thanks in advance |
Anyone taken the assessment? Would appreciate if anyone could share what is to be expected in the 15 mins online assessment.
|
First interview, just a “get to know eachother”. Wear a suit, look the part. Explain your CV in 3min. What do we offer you, what are you looking for, what if you don’t get a commuting contract etc.
2nd stage is assessment. - personality questionnaire - CRM questionnaire (what would you do if etc) - psychometric assessment (2 the exact same runs, looking for learning curve) 3rd stage: simulator and technical interview. Simulator straight forward. All details will be sent on time. Technical interview: - tell me about a time questions - did anything ever happen on a flight and what did you do? - technical questions about your current aircraft. (Don’t think you can fool them, they’re ex EK, QR, Cathay TRI/TRE. If you don’t know something, just be honest. results come after 8-10 days once passed, they’ll give you access to their own website where some tasks are awaiting you. From simply reading some documents to making a list on where you’d like to live and what is important to you. (Close to school or office, large or small compound, playgrounds and sports for kids or not etc) you are than expected to perform some medical tests in your home country (blood, urine, stool) for your visa application. Once done, you fly over to Riyadh. You’ll do your Iqama, class 1 medical, get a bank account etc. Company arranges all of this. 30 days of housing are provided by Riyadh, after that it’s your own responsibility. But they’ll help you find a place, or you can apply to stay where you are. But after those 30 days, you’re pay for it yourself with your housing allowance. best of luck |
Thank you for that info!

15 minutes interview
Hallo Dutchiness,
Thank you for your feedback . Please advise the following 1. The online 15 minutes assessment is a video recording or an online meet? In my invitation email ,they mentioned you can rest in between checks. Does this mean their are mutiple assessments? 2.Is there a preparation website that you can use to prepare for these inteviews? Thank you |
Hi,
I was invited for the online 15min assessment. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! |
I have attempted it (although recently been hired at another middle east carrier) and can confirm the above:
1) Personality Traits Motivation, 6 minutes. 2) Technical ATPL Knowledge 3 minutes. 3) English Speaking Assessment, 6 minutes It was very similar to what you can find on pilotassessments.com Two questions are asking regarding your motivation and the 5 ATPL questions were very basic in my case. The last activity is one personal question that is used to check your English speaking. You can record the interview questions two times before submitting your video. Good luck all! |
Thanks for the feedback!
Great help for all of us who got “the next step email recently”. Wishing you all the best. Cheers! |
Thank you!

Got the online e.mail. Anyone know how long the entire selection process lasts? Thanks in advance.
|
Me too, I did the online assessment
I got a reply via mail saying they are looking for 787 type rated pilots and they are expecting a321 next year. Dear fellow mates .. what did you think about? I think they could consider me for the airbus fleet , ( I hope ) due to the fact I have 9000 hrs on a320/330/350 Any suggestion is more than welcome |
What did you have on the online assesment?
and who wrote you about 787 rated and Airbus next year? thanks |
Check your pvt messages
|
Alaf001,

15min assessment FO/787
Already did the assessment for the FO position but I’m not sure wether they are going to get back to me or not, depending on the result.
If anyone did receive an email notification for the next step after doing the 15 min assessment, I would appreciate if they could reach out and tell me, so I’m not concerned if I passed or failed the assessment lol |
Stupid question but the 7 day email found me
on annual leave with only casual tshirts🤣 Do you think the AI bot will notice that? Do you think appearance is important on the 15 minute assessment? many thanks and safe flights! |
Can you share the questions of your assessment.
I am also on leave without laptop and I have messaged them to postpone. But they have replied that they cannot postpone and its preferable to have laptop as it require some writing test. It looks like a auto reply from the Third party who is conducting this test.

Lot´s of people getting the email apparently. I asked a friend living in Riyadh for the last 4,5 years how it was compared to Dubai. Apparently a lot more expensive. A 4 bedroom appt is 375000 RAL/y and a good british school about 100k, a normal one 70k. There is less choice and more expensive cars. Food etc is more expensive. So question is, is it worth the move from Dubai?

I don’t expect much tbh. It was very awkward having the camera rolling without me being ready and im not that great talking to myself. Lets see |

!Done! Here are the questions:
1. What motivates you? (Motivation) 2. ATP - 3 questions. 3. Apart from being a pilot, how would you describe yourself? Good luck, everyone! |
15 minutes test
Me and my colleague just completed the 15 minutes online test.
while the process is very straightforward, there’s zero human interaction and the test goes way too fast, there’s a timer for every single step that doesn’t stop, just two minutes approximately for the 5 ATPL questions, quite simple ones, altimeter readings, meteorology, jet engine question. It all start with a video recording of yourself, just 6 minutes per take, only 2 takes and if you don’t decide which one to chose the system decides for you unfortunately, first video question is about why you chose Riyadh Air, then ATPL questions (5), then describe yourself video, probably to assess your English as well. All happens too fast in my point of view, if it was my Airline I wouldn’t fail real professional pilots because of this, absolutely, I would assess them one by one face to face with professional assessors, even if the number of candidates is huge, hopefully it’s just a gross screening with a real panel interview followed by simulator, let’s see, good luck, just relax be yourself and don’t cheat because you’re monitored with the camera. |
