... "EK" pushing experience out...
.... did you saw this one coming? YES. This is the only way for EK to keep airplanes flying for week to week basis.... the outlook before was year to year, then month to month basis, and now...
The "pay review" and current 3 men crewing for ULRs are keeping the door open only one way...out! Now, I have had enough..... If you have info for far east guys who already left us, please, pass me some contacts.... PM would be nice, I am trying to get hold on to our ex pilots in China etc.... I though I would last my 15 years.... just few to go, but too much is too much! Thanks |
Okay one pilot has had enough. We still aren’t going to get to 200 pilot resignations. |
I wish I knew of some names to send you. I am sure someone will pop up in here that knows some personally.
Very recently chatted an EK CA in Seoul who was there for the interview. The flood gates are starting to open and will be pouring all summer long. |
Cereus, we are already 800 pilots short by my reckoning (I'm flying 100 hours a month and it should be 80, so about 20% too much. 20% of 4,000 pilots is 800). The loss of another 200 would sink the company in its present form. However, some will leave and the already slow recruitment will all but stop. Who would join with no pay rise for years, no duty free alcohol allowed and now 3 crew ULR- all in the last few weeks! It will be a long and interesting Summer.

Whilst on the subject gents. A really quick question. Say you fly 70 hours as skipper T7 what do you make. And then please tell me what you make flying 100 hours, as you do presently. Include all allowances. I may then be able to give you some great practical advice. Hopefully… |

Assuming a 31 day month and productivity kicking in at 88 hours, the difference between 70 hours and 100 hours is AED9,817.50 but a couple of months of 100 hours (especially on 3 man ULR ops) and you will be in no fit state to fly at all. I'm a happy camper with 75 block, non-factored. Lifestyle is king, gents. Hope you get yours back sometime! |
Isn’t there any way you guys can control or limit your flying to 75-80 hours pm. Sick reports, casual leave, emergency leave etc etc |
