When are the ek rosters supposed to come out again?
I probably missed the email explaining it all in great detail but when do the rosters get published these days? Is it not supposed to be the 16th?
|
It's still the 24th or 25th. They only try to release earlier....

I believe it will be the 18th, but who knows

If so that is incredibly archaic in this century. I know you have many many other problems from browsing this site but confess that I hadn't picked up on that one. Even those other bloodsuckers at CX manage it by the 15th which I thought was more typical. |
15th is excellent , most places I know of are 18-24th. Except those lucky folks who get their rosters 2 or 3 months at a time. There are places where people don't know what they are doing till the 30th!
|
The last two months, rosters on the 18th, were actually an improvement!! Thanks for that, it's appreciated.
Let's see if they can uphold it. |
The 15th is not excellent. It's very average. I can only presume from your other posts that you've been drinking cool aid during the cruise phase.

Well my roster must be pretty much ready as I'm getting emails for offline freighters (that I didn't bid for).
|
One nameless carrier I worked for years ago offered their January schedule… on NYE! Three months later we were all in the unemployment line.

Oooh. Maybe you've got 13 days off too!
Needless to say 13+ days off on its own merits would be fine. |
Rosters now in iCrew

They are on the portal now.
Truely amazed that the only ULR/LH trips I bid for were SFO and IAD transpires into MEL-AKL-MEL. And Top Bid month as well. Quick bit of maths and it is basic, reckons about 16 pilots a month ( on average) left the company between Jan16 and Feb 17. With the current  state of rostering I cannot see how this sorry state of affairs can be averted. EK management seem to be content to play the fiddle like Nero, whilst the Airline burns. |
2nd top, nothing.
Thanks again... |
Gardenshed, at least Nero was an emperor, our managers think they are. Probably be like Caligula if they were !!!!
|
380 roster sounds sweet compared to the tractor A6-EEU (nothing like mine :( )
|
That's scary that 13 days off and 87 hours is now considered good.
|
I have 12 days leave plus 2 days either side and still they managed to squeeze 86 hrs in the rest of the month... W@NK3rS !!!!!

EEU you might have come here to fly airplanes but I'm pretty sure all the rest of us came here for work that complimented and supported our life and the life we planned to share with family and friends. If all you want to do is fly airplanes then congratulations you won...
|
380 troll. u must be a nice fella in the flightdeck. One good thing is : at least i don' t have to fly with u...
i hear from our CC that there are indeed a few 'super' special guys on your fleet.... Guys, don't count on any sympathy in this part of the world. Just look at the lot in the BC...When have they ever done anything to ease the pain... Same here btw : 10 days leave and got my 85plus hours on the tractor to sweeten the deal...I don't see any light at the end of my tunnel so the only way out is...out. thanks for the gentle reminder EEU... |
Is it me or lately there have been a few suspicious trolls in the forum? - we all know how good certain company is at PR - I'm afraid from the bouncy castle someone has decided to join the discussion forum around here! :=
From the marvellous lifestyle of 85 hours in 18 days to the one talking about the wonders of the new freighter deal... seriously? |

EK isn't wonderful (work isn't) But working/flying for them is what I came here to do. I cannot fault them for asking me to fly. And frankly, I find it much easier and tolerable to be positive rather than negative. I don't HAVE to be here, I choose to be here. When I no longer wish to be, I'll quit, but I promise I won't try to poison others with my misery. If doing 86 hours in 16 days with half the month on leave is acceptable to you just because you came to fly GOOD luck to you hero... Personally I am here to work to live NOT the other way around... I am not living ONLY working hence my decision to bail out like many others are very soon so you fill your boots with all the flying you want :ok: |
A6-EEU please tell me that you seriously don't think its acceptable to be flying 86 hours with 12 days of leave in the month? The productivity is 88 for May I believe so that poor soul has saved 2 hours flying from a full month for 12 days of leave.
If you find that acceptable then you are going to be labelled a troll and for good reason. There are good and bad, but that is not one of the good points. |
Yay for A6EEH, bet he still cannot believe that they pay him "so" much money to fly such a big, big airplane.
|
A6-EEU,
13 years of which 10 in the office I can imagine, and indeed retiring after 20 years... Do you wear one if those white dresses maybe? |

Are you referring to me? I've been at EK for 13 years and will probably stay another 7 years before I call it quits.
|
Those trips alone would be a full months work in most LH airlines, without any leave.
|
No sorry you are more than carrying your weight with 86 with 12 days of leave in the month.
You are trolling... |
I'm glad I do nothing like the hours EEU claims and have a life by not slaving for EK. The hours are just one of the many reasons why EK does not interest me.
With EK announcing they are ditching seven of their twelve USA routes today and reducing frequencies on the remaining five, I hope for your health and lifestyle sakes it has a positive affect on all of you with EK. |
13 year ago, G4 . Trying to picture who that was? G4 way under the weight limit back then. 1000 hr a year on a G4 ? Hmmmmm!
|
A6EEU
TROLL |
hahah! 1000 hrs on a G4!
fatbus has so outed you. Sorry A6EEU, you have zero credibility. Even if what you say is true - max hours on a bizjet, managed to get hired without the quals - it only proves that your argument is ****e: "well at least EK is marginally better than my previous, TRULY deplorable outfit". Textbook troll. You'll have to do far better to circumvent the bs detectors of the posters on this forum. They've had far more experience honing them than you'll ever be able to comprehend. |

If we stay, we cooperate, including switching fleets if that's what the company needs from us. If we go, then we are on our own. The choice is ours. |

It would be my pleasure to go to the B777 if that's where the company needed me.
