It's too late to safe this company. The ship is sinking and can't be stopped.
CM will realise soon that there is no cure and will evacuate himself.

SMT Member 16th Dec 2016 10:01

a minimum of half of them need to be locals
If I'm not mistaken there's a law preventing the dismissal of locals, under the umbrella of 'Emiratification'. Never met an Emirati I'd trust to run anything, will be fun to see how they fare running an actual airline. Into the ground, would be my expectation.

lucrative codeshare...?

another dent to the revenue stream.....

236 seats. Really?

sunbird123 16th Dec 2016 14:24

Sadly it looks like its going the way of Gulf Air.

TangoUniform 16th Dec 2016 15:53

We've been saying Gulf Air 2.0 for years now. Not a rapid descent but rather a driftdown. Either way, the result has the potential to be the same.

Capt Ecureuil 16th Dec 2016 17:06

Just like to thank you guys at EK for taking him off our hands and looking after him for so many years.:ok:

Passing his office one time after a trip he balled me out about something in the corridor and then went back in to his office slamming the door in my face.

I was so incensed when I got home I drove back and confronted him... his reply "got the name wrong, wasn't you" and walked away, no apology nothing.... Tosser

puff m'call 16th Dec 2016 17:55

As long as this airline continues to fly 777-300ER's to DOH with 120 pax and the Blunderbus with 86 pax there's only one direction this airline is going!!!

CM in a meeting recently to top level management condemned the buying of all these blunderbusses. Ruffled a few feathers for sure, including TC who was there.

Mr Good Cat 16th Dec 2016 18:25

I'm not one for the Airbus vs Boeing petty arguments, but I do love that new moniker for the 380

aeropix 17th Dec 2016 01:31

How about "the Four-Engined Furlough-Maker"

glofish 17th Dec 2016 02:17

CM in a meeting recently to top level management condemned the buying of all these blunderbusses. Ruffled a few feathers for sure, including TC who was there.
This is precisely why i bear no hope for improvement. The way i see it, CM is only Chief Advisory Officer, the Executive one is still TC, with AAR up his ...
Any reversal of any of their collective "blunders" will be regarded as attack on their skills and face. No need to elaborate how truthfully they will implement such advice.
If HH is serious about getting EK back on track, he can't avoid getting rid of these individuals and their old boy network to pave the way for improvement.

White Knight 17th Dec 2016 06:20

I think Puff & Glo you'll find that the multiple DOHs every day are to free up gate and parking space at DXB... Doesn't matter how many PAX are carried - it just gets the airframes out of town for a few hours!

Talparc 17th Dec 2016 08:04

White Knight: exactly and to ... up you roster to interrupt your string of off/leave

glofish 17th Dec 2016 08:13

WK

Same must apply to all the metal in NZ, just to get them out of OZ for a few hours, apparently it's cheaper.

I guess Mr. CM must be hugely impressed by such a business model ....

Talparc 17th Dec 2016 09:41

it's called remote Airdisplay like at the airshow.

Wait till the investors find out that their investment actually is not doing anything.
Another ponci scheme?

notapilot15 17th Dec 2016 10:39

WH

Planes can fly round the clock, what about crew. Could you explain how Australia-NZ crew scheduling works. Travel agents, teenagers and trolls on a not to be named aviation forum are drooling about the possibilities at FLL. How can Costa allow a plane to sit on ground for 9.5hr?

Talparc 17th Dec 2016 11:03

and the best is that during the 9.5hr not much maintenance is done.
They are masters in deferring items, oh I forgot cost cutting in progess.

fliion 17th Dec 2016 20:26

Talparc,

Anything smart to say this year?

Calmcavok 18th Dec 2016 00:00

If the best way to maximise loads/yields/profits is to have the aircraft sit there for several hours then so be it. EK is far from the first airline to do this, look at the x number of airlines that do the same in Jo'burg, Sydney etc.

glofish 18th Dec 2016 02:57

Yes, some airlines do it. But the reason is their night-bans at home. Now EK has the immense advantage of not having anything like that. Obviously there should be no reason to park aircraft, as they only make money when flying, conclusion is that bad planning wastes an advantage and money.

fatbus 18th Dec 2016 12:19

What would he be quilty of? Legally speaking.

Take up a new hobby
No thanks. I like writing my blog. :)

Blog away Lickita81. Blog until your cold heart is content. Just a gentle reminder your blog is not this forum. All the best with your blog. Merry Christmas! 🎄

Nikita81 20th Dec 2016 14:14

I am sorry you've got things wrong, Whinerhugo. I know I haven't. For me, "this forum was never my blog". Whatever that means.

I also know that this thread is not about Christmas (and I celebrate it on 7th of January) but Merry Christmas to you.

You've got one more thing wrong, but it's the matter of your misoginy and male insecurity - no, you don't stand a chance. I prefer brave men. :)

Now, hop off little rabbit.

Maz11 20th Dec 2016 14:36

Nikita why don't you put your energy into being happy instead of lurking around these forums. If people want to read your blog I'm sure they'll go searching it out. Instead of spending your time writing it though maybe you could spend your time finding a new hobby or smiling occasionally around loved ones. The grass is always greener, just remember that, wherever you come from

Nikita81 20th Dec 2016 14:58

Me reading this forum and occasionally writing a comment has nothing to do with my personal happiness but has everything to do with my interest in global events, future of the planet and evolution of the humanity. Oops, another thread about me. :) Maybe you should also be interested in global events instead of me. Then we can write about thread's subject.

I admire your tenacity Nikita. Keep it up.

BigGeordie 20th Dec 2016 15:09

As soon as Nikita pops up the thread goes off at a tangent, and she isn't the one diverting it (although if she stopped rising to the bait it would be easier to keep things on track!).

She isn't a professional pilot, but she never pretended to be- I'm sure a lot of people on here aren't pilots at all, professional or otherwise. However, she did work for EK and she was treated badly by the company. I think that gives her as much right as anybody to post on this board. The comments from Maz11 could easily apply to anybody here (Including me!) but for some reason everybody wants to pick on Nikita81. Maybe it is because they aren't smart enough to give a sensible response to what she says?

BigGeordie, couldn't agree more. Nikita, stay strong.

Monarch Man 20th Dec 2016 15:38

Totally agree Big G, I'm thinking Maz11 going by the "concorde house" location is an ex Ezy recruit enjoying the easy life as a 380 F/O.
Maz11, love her or hate her, Nikita has as much right to post on here as you do, moreover she unlike you it would seem has had to battle the monster to get anything approaching what you and I would call closure.
All that we need now is for HTC to turn up.

ruserious 20th Dec 2016 17:04

Yep she has all the right in the world to post her opinion and experiences ad nauseum, just wish she could be a little less annoying

Whairdhugo 20th Dec 2016 17:37

Can't reason with the unreasonable...

Nikita81 20th Dec 2016 18:18

Thanks, guys. :)

Dropp the Pilot 20th Dec 2016 18:22

"This message is hidden because Nikita81 is on your ignore list"

As any 18th century Londoner would tell you, one visit to Bedlam is enough.

keepitrealok 21st Dec 2016 03:52

Some of the posters here are quite funny.

My better half consistently tells me that pilots are biggest whingers of any employee group across any industry. Yes, and I'd add, the most gutless. 'Quick run to PPrune and complain. What's that you say? Email/Phone/Visit one of the bosses? Ohhhh, no, can't do that, I'll get threatened with the sack.'

Nikita84 put her money where her mouth is and took the company on. Unlike 99% of the posters here.

And now you are whinging about her!! Too funny! Pathetic funny! :D

Craggenmore 21st Dec 2016 03:58

The ATC forum, medical, CRM, ground ops, cabin crew and spotters corner on PPRUNE are full of non professional pilots.

BigGeordie 21st Dec 2016 04:28

keepitrealok, Nikita81 did indeed take the company on (and she is still doing it!).

If you get a chance you might want to ask her how that worked out for her.

The answer will tell you quite a lot of what you need to know about the working environment in the Middle East.

dubaigong 21st Dec 2016 05:21

BigGeordie , if she was not alone but followed by most of the employees then things will have to change in the Middle East.
The main reason why things are like they are here is the selfishness of most of us.

Trader 21st Dec 2016 11:28

Also, notice how the majority of her detractors are not active ppruners. Never seen them post before. Management trolls!

777boyindubai 21st Dec 2016 12:06

Like it or not, she has done huge damage to EK and DNATA. Just what they deserved. Happy Christmas (whichever date you celebrate) and warm wishes for a prosperous and safe New Year to all.:ok:
