Any updates from people in the pool with a joining date? Does anyone know how many people are in the pool currently?
|
I've heard about guys with joining date to june, 767 rated.
Me and other 737 drivers are still swimming... |
Hey guys,
I'm also swimming in the pool since the end of November. Still no news... TR 737NG 6500TT. 4 Months notice period. |
Don't worry they are still recruiting full speed and expanding. I think that the reason for the pool is the training capacity that cannot keep up with the expansion. Big numbers of new joiners every week.
|
Did the selection in late November and just got a start date in early June. Exactly on my notice period. Type rated A330. Must be an Airbus thing. :ok:
|
Just got an email from QR - I'm starting in July on the 777.
|
Congrats flyjeff!
|
Cool. Congrats. So just that you can comply with your notice period. 😊
|
Thanks guys! I applied as FO. Good luck to all the others still waiting, hope you get your date soon too..
|
FLYJEFF, CONGRATS, FOR HOW LONG WERE YOU ON THE POOL??? When did you have your interview??????
|
I was in there for 2 months. I had the interview in November.
|
Experience x Type x Interview date
Congrats on folks getting a date of join!
Considering the latest guys with a DOJ, I can suppose: Airbus queue is going faster than Boeing's. Also, those more experienced or with widebody experience are joining first. It's not an absolute rule of course, but seems they are taking these factors into account. Is great to see things are moving forward! Think we'll all soon leave the pool. |
I have to agree with above... depends on current needs etc..,, but I have seen several very experienced captains start within weeks of interviewing while less experienced pilots are floating in pool
|
An ex-colleague of mine... interviewed in October and started early last month - so 2months wait. He was an FO on the A320 and was offered the same at QR. He could've just been at the right place at the right time (and he had 1months notice).
It has been mentioned that how well you do during the assessment might also influence how quickly you're pulled out the pool. Anyway, you'll all get your chance. Plenty of new aircraft still to be delivered.

Congrats to those with DOJ. I interviewed in NOV 2016 still waiting join date. A320 rated.

Anybody know if they plan ratings on the 787 this year?

Talent Pool
Congratulations on passing.
I went for the the assessment on 1st and 2nd of Dec and still swimming in the pool. B737 rated with 2000 hours on type and 3 month notice period. Looks like there still quite a few poeple on the Boeing list so I guess we need to be patient for a few more month.:ugh: |
